Brief: Redesign a news portal
A popular newspaper that has a long tradition in printed edition is switching focus to an online presence and they need to redesign their portal. The key demographic group is the young and urban generation that has high expectations in terms of both, aesthetics and functionality.
UX designer: Design a user experience which facilitates the user goal of getting the latest information in easy and accessible way, and navigate through sections easily as well. The news portal wants to differentiate themselves by being simple, intuitive and on point with the latest trends.
Expectations: Deliver wireframes and a clickable prototype of the experience, as well as an explanation of your process and design.

Package design for Amulet Chocolate, a delectable luxury chocolate brand. Amulet is inspired by the Ancient Egyptians who believed in the magical powers of amulets which were worn in their day to day lives to help protect them.
Each bar has a unique design inspired by an amulet and on the back there is an explanation of it’s historical mystical meaning. The ingredients are also inspired to help provide consumers with the health benefits the Egyptians believed they would experience when wearing amulets.

I worked as a Social Media Specialist at a technology startup, Handy.com, for 3 years. It’s an app (and website!) for iOS and Android users for on-demand home services. Users can book any service (cleaning, plumbing, furniture assembly, etc.) and a skilled contractor in the area will arrive for the day and time that is scheduled. I helped create Handy’s tone of voice (TOV) on their Social Networking Sites, which I also helped provide customer service support.

Take control of your life, take control of the Hubbub. What makes this app unique from the others in the market is that it tracks how long tasks take to complete (for better time management) and also allows users to share calendars with one another that can be edited and updated in real time.
The user I had in mind for this app was a 30 year old driving instructor. Driving instructors need something simple and easy to use while on the go. They have many student drivers in one day and it’s easier to manage schedules via Hubbub.

Crayola is launching a new campaign to help sell their new spooky color palettes this Halloween. They’re looking for a collectible postcard collection featuring all the new colors. The imagery can be spooky and doesn’t need to follow their traditional colorful tone, but the design should be mindful of the user demographic (5-8 year olds).
In my design, I wanted the physical postcard to also be something the user could play with and take pictures to post on social media using a hashtag. The gargoyle can be held up to a child’s face to make for a spooky photo. The front showcases one color, and the back lists the other colors that are also part of the collection.

Classic. Iconic. Rebellious. This is what Ray-ban stands for in our culture today. Ray-ban needed an advert to insert in fashion and pop-culture magazines.
This design was made to remanence on the 50s when the Wayfarer Ray-ban was first created. I wanted focus to be on the shape of the frame since that was what made Ray-ban eye glasses so iconic, in my opinion.

Grrrl Beat is a two day workout event for women and readers of Cosmopolitan Magazine. The event is to inspire women to live healthier lives and be kick ass while doing it. At this event there will be kickboxing classes along with other fitness class options. There will also be classes led by celebrities and discussions on body positivity.
The design is inspired by the Riot Grrrl underground feminist punk movement. It is a subcultural movement that combines feminist consciousness and punk style and politics.
